The District has appointed a new pastor to FUMC, replacing Dr. Jeff Stiggins who is retiring in June of this year. Jeremy Rebman from Deer Lake UMC will be our new pastor beginning in July.
About Jeremy Rebman
Jeremy is a native Floridian who grew up in Plant City. He met his wife Ashley at Florida Southern College where Jeremy received his call to pastoral ministry. Ashley and Jeremy were married just after Jeremy began his seminary work at the Duke Divinity School. After seminary, they returned to Florida, where Jeremy has served as the Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church, Orlando, and as the Lead Pastor at Deer Lake United Methodist Church in Tallahassee. Jeremy has also served as a trustee of the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home and on the Board of Ordained Ministry. Jeremy and Ashley have two children, Emma and Madelyn. They all enjoy outdoor activities, fitness, travel and mission work. Jeremy’s passion is for the Church to truly be the Church.
